If I could give 0 stars, I would. All the other 1 star reviews about the emergency department are absolutely true and are not exaggerations. Please inform people on the current estimated wait time when they check in, BEFORE they decide to wait here. I've waited in other Adventist hospital ERs before with a 1 to 2 hour wait and this has been the absolute worst experience due to incredibly high wait times, over 8 hours to be seen by a physician for a concussion evaluation that should truly not take that long. We have been here since 6:30 PM and it's now past 3 AM on the next day and we have yet to see a physician. I totally get that the hospital is understaffed, but there's just no reason for any patient to come here and waste their time, especially when there are other hospitals in the area. When we made it to the triage area after 1 hour of waiting, the male staff member was incredibly dismissive to my sister's concerns, which I'm sure is one of the reasons why we were made to wait so long. Had he taken her seriously, I believe we would have been able to see a doctor much sooner. We will never, ever come back here again. I hope White Oak can address their customer service nightmare of an emergency room and train their staff to treat their patients better.
