I'm not sure if the wider circle accept used pillows, but I am guessing that if the pillows are in great shape, they probably will accept them
It will be hue Doman clothes I have 3 girls
You call them at the number posted online for them and then they will get information. They call you back and schedule an appointment. You have to bring your own transportation depending on your need. Dont rent Uhaul get a person whom has flat bed or utility vehicle. Depending on what you getting ie coach bed things of that nature.
It's decent stuff enough to get started & depending when you go you can find really nice stuff..
They have a office in Shaw area but as far as for furniture no you go to Silver Spring and you have to have a referral and they will give you an appointment. Once you get the appointment and that day come you are responsible to bring a vehicle that will hold the stuff you select. You cannot go back
Depending on the donations and the earlier your appt the better the selection
Hi Robin, We can accept gently-used professional clothing for adults, as well as baby and toddler clothing. You can find a full list of items we accept at awidercircle.org/wishlist. Thanks so much for thinking of us!
Leave a message hopefully they will call you back. My granddaughter says she found out about it through a program
Hi JoAnn, Thank you for thinking of us! Our current drop-off hours are Tuesdsay-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Items can be dropped off any time during those hours; no appointment is necessary. Please note that we accept donations of professional clothing and accessories for adults, and baby and toddler clothing up to size 4T. We are not able to accept donations of adult's or children's casual clothing. Thanks again!
You have to call and get an appointment and everything is explained from there.
No referral needed. Check online for hours of operation and for items they'll accept.
Hello Safi Safi, I don't know how to apply for A Wider Circle aid, but if you live in Silver Spring/Takoma Park, you can reach out to the mutual aid network to ask for support. https://sstpmutualaid.wordpress.com/
I believe you should go through your social worker. Why don't you call them and ask?
I'm not sure, but the Wider Circle's website only lists DC and Silver Spring. I suggest contacting them and perhaps they'll have somewhere in Northern VA they can recommend? Here's their website: http://awidercircle.org/contact/
They do pick ups but due to Covid-19 they are not currently accepting donations. Keep checking their website for information on reopening.
No they wont pick up. You have to drop off. There volunteer based and donations taken
They take all donations but the stuff has to be clean
They do pick up from some parts of VA, not all of VA. Just call them to find out if they do go to your zip code.
No, sorry hope you are able to find someplace close to Richmond
Rent a Uhaul. If you cannot, get a friend to help. If you have no way to get there even if with a friend at the appointment time you might want to reschedule. Keep in mind that they will have only what was donated to pick from.. I wish you luck.
They do take mattresses and box springs as long as those are in gently used condition, no rips or stains. They do except bed frames, but only if those come accompanied by either a mattress or a box spring. They do pick up.
You DO need an appointment to receive furniture or professional clothing at the Silver Spring location. Just call their number to find out more information about their programs.
Yes, they do pick up gently used furniture, free of rips, stains and other damage.
