I’ve been training with Candace for 6 months now. She is an expert at what she does especially in training people with injuries. I have had improvements in my overall health and strength. I have built a significant amount of muscle and am seeing results. She is very knowledgeable about diet and nutrition. She is also consistent, kind and dedicated to her clients. Yes! I am a certified nutrition coach and can help you come up with a plan to help you reach your goals while still enjoying foods you love. I have a nutrition guide available on my website that includes how to count your macros, a weekly grocery list, meal plan, and some of my favorite recipes.
Rest days are just as important as the days you are working out. Progress is made during recovery. On the days outside of the gym it is important to focus on staying on track with your nutrition and hydration. It is also important to stretch and foam roll. I still recommend getting at least 30 minutes of movement on your off days. It would be beneficial to go for a short walk or bike ride to keep your body active.
Ideally, it would be best to workout a minimum of three days a week. However, the best workout is the one that you can do. So if your schedule only allows for two days a week, that is better than none.
I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I am also a certified Nutrition Coach, Weight Loss Specialist, and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
All you need for your training session is a towel and a reusable water bottle! We have a water refill station but do not provide towels.
If you have been cleared by your doctor to start an exercise program then, yes! I would recommend the one-on-one training. It is much more personal than the other packages and will allow for better communication so we can make sure that everything feels ok and you will be able to voice any concerns without having to worry about anyone else in the workout.
