The pool is lovely, but the harsh enforcement of the HOA rules make it very uncomfortable to swim or lay or read or just be in the pool enclosure. This is the 2nd year we have owned here and see a dramatic change from 2021 to 2022. Bob is just the front man, and Im sure well meaning, but the policies here (you have to shower before entering the pool or face a $100 fine) are not general guidelines for common and decent behavior. Im not sure the point of the shower since its not like we are digging ditches before coming to the pool and no one is taking a THOROUGH shower in front of a camera so in addition to being superfluous, its creepy.

My family has been enjoying our vacation home in Parker Lakes for 16 years. Unfortunately the pool is not kid friendly, and HOA is retaliatory when complaints are filed. On our first day on on our most recent vacation, Bob approached my very young children at the pool, and created an environment where we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We filed a complaint with our president at Willowbrook which was forwarded on to the main HOA. The main HOA completely dismissed our complaint, and said if we didn’t like it we could go elsewhere. It was no surprise within days of filing my complaint, I received a violation in the mail. Based on the response I have posted below as well as the others I’ve read here, it appears many people have similar complaints however the HOA refuses to address them. After this most recent episode of harassment, which involved my children, and the lack of action of the HOA after we were harassed at what should be a family friendly pool, we have sold our beautiful home in Parker Lakes for a family friendly community. I am saddened my children cannot enjoy the place my family called home for so many years, but I will not tolerate a man who is allowed to approach children and harass families at the community pool, someone with multiple complaints, who the HOA refuses to do anything about.

This picture is the scene of the crime. Apparently it IS a crime to set your drinks on the edge of the pool at Parker Lakes. The HOA there is drunk with the power to ruin someone’s vacation, and they will do it to you, too, as they did to us, and i have no doubt that they enjoy doing just that. Notice the crowd at the pool? Exactly. It was deserted. We were enjoying the pool in the evening and set our drinks there on the edge. According to the HOA they give you a warning if you break one of their petty rules. Well, they didn’t. What they did after reviewing their video from that evening (because their dirtbag management likes to check out everyone’s bathing suits) was to cancel our pool access cards for the remaining 9 days of our vacation. Vacasa could not budge them, and neither could we. VRBO was no help either - they just take your money and turn your care over to Vacasa, who can, and do, do nothing. Parker Lakes is a beautiful place that is totally ruined by this collection of hostile, renter-hating old fossils they call an HOA. They fine their homeowners for the slightest infraction, and will not listen to the other side of the story. We had no idea this most minor of incidents would be treated as a major, unforgivable crime. We rented a lovely place there for the month of March, 2022, and, of course, would never return. We were told that if the homeowner from whom we rented was to pay a $100 fine per person, they would “consider” reinstating the pool passes. The owner, having no motivation to let us back in the pool, didn’t pay. The HOA wrote us in an email that the previous renters had been shut out of the pool as well, so the HOA and the owner “made a deal” that the next renter would get NO WARNING if they broke a rule. But unfortunately no one had shared this agreement with us, the current renters!!! How unfair is that!!! They just want to trap people into breaking a rule so they can wield their power and collect another fine. They are horrible, petty, nasty, and pathetic people who should just forbid renting in their entire community so they can’t ruin anyone else’s vacation. We are in our 70’s - not rowdy spring-breakers spilling drinks in the pool and causing problems, and we were treated abominably by these HOA jerks. Don’t rent in Parker Lakes. You’ll regret it. They will find a way to spoil it for you because that’s what they do there. They thrive on it. If i could give them zero stars, i would.
