Bad. Really bad. I scheduled an appointment in advance and when showed up they told me they are short stuff and my appointment is for drop off only and I won’t be able to get assistance. They rescheduled me for another day. I came from another state specifically for this and now I have to extend my staying here, hotel, change the tickets. Awful. Frustrating experience.

I report my taxes in April 2021 and I still haven't received the letter to be able to pay the 2020 taxes
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-face-to-face-help-is-now-by-appointment That page has the number to call to set up an appointment at the office of your choice (usually the closest). Wait time to set up shouldnt be long, but they say they book appointments up to 30 days ahead, sometimes longer.
By appointment only. The phone number to set up an appointment is on the IRS.gov website. Search for Taxpayer Assistance Centers on the website.
You can always check, “Where’s My Refund” link on the www.irs.gov
It’s too late to answer this question but you’ll find closures of offices on your local TV.
No, any additional documents, other than schedules, will delay the process of the return. You need to check the social security in questions with the Social Security Administration and the IRS.
No
You have to go in person to make an appointment. Because through the phone they never pick up.
Yes you can file this year before May 17, 2021 go to www.irs.gov website for up to date information on stimulus.
If you have an accountant try going through them or possibly call this number 1 800 829 1040.
Yes, including the building at 77 K Street NE. Parking in DC is difucult, a good suggestion is to drive to Union Station and just walk the 2 blocks to get to the office.
Yes
If you are talking about preparing your taxes the answer is no. The IRS no longer provided those kind of services. The alternative provided was to visit a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site (VITA) where you can go an get your taxes done for free if you qualify. Please check https://www.irs.gov/individuals/find-a-location-for-free-tax-prep for more information and to find a location near you.
Form W-9 is an IRS form but is not submitted at an IRS location. If an entity such as a bank, or employer has requested this form, you can download it online (IRS.gov), complete it and submit it to the entity that asked you for it.
Form 3949A is used to report tax related illegal activities for individuals and business that at not tax preparers. For Tax Preparers Form 14157A is used. For more information please use https://www.irs.gov/tax-professionals/make-a-complaint-about-a-tax-return-preparer
Yes.. You need to make a appointment first however
No, you have a few closeby the building. A good suggestion will be to park in Union Station and walk two blocks to the office.
IRS does not make calls.. If someone calls claiming to be from the IRS, hang up
They MAY call for clarification on something YOU filed, but it's rare. They will not demand payment personally over the phone though, especially via any kind of gift card.
There are a few parking lots near by.
This is not a yes or no questions. The IRS sets a threshold every year to determine your filing requirements. You can use the Interactive Tax Assistance (ITA) to answer that question for a particular year. Please use the link below and look for the question, "Do I need to file a Tax Return" https://www.irs.gov/help/ita
In this case you would normally go to the office of the State in where you live. Unfortunatelly, IRS won't be able to assist you on State matters.
