First and foremost- I have never felt compelled to write a negative review on a restaurant before. As someone who has worked as a waiter, busboy, and dishwasher I understand the hassle of working in a restaurant. However, after experiencing tonight's service it had to be noted. After visiting this restaurant numerous times, we took my mother out to dinner for her birthday. All four meals were delivered. The most expensive was the Filet Mignon (The most expensive on the menu). It was ordered as "rare". The steak was thoroughly overcooked to where it was more than gray all the way through. I assumed a new cook was in the kitchen; and without asking for it-kindly accepted a new one to be cooked. The cooks agreed it was well over medium-well. We were told it would be 5 minutes. As a chef myself, I realize a flash-cooked steak should take no less time. Everyone was already done with their meal; but I had no issue, as I understand the dynamics in a kitchen. 25 minutes later the steak was brought out in a to-go container. I would never expect something to be comped at a restaurant (which it was not), but it was appalling to say nonetheless. It was disappointing to say the least that a "high end" restaurant delivered well under a fair expectation. Please avoid at all cost.

Very disappointing dinner for four tonight. Roko used to be a favorite of ours. Not tonight. We waited one hour and ten minutes for our main course. Many apologies for the kitchen delays but the apologies were perfunctory at best and it was an issue at multiple tables. Two of us had the scallop risotto which was so salty it was sent back as inedible. New dinners came and although better, still too much salt. The other two dinners were ok but not of the usual Roko quality. Their prices are high but the quality used to be wonderful. We will not be returning.

Told the management upon entering that we were celebrating two birthdays in our party. Nothing, not even a cupcake! We told our waitress and she brought one saucer with four small pieces of fruit and a dab of icing with a candle. I was told by management that they provide candles if someone brings their own cake. Never had a restaurant experience like this in my life. (The food was not hot and mediocre.)

I will admit that Rocco is my new favorite restaurant in Wilmington. I went there for my 50th birthday dinner with my Wife and Mother as well as my Mother and Father in Laws who are regulars. The food and service is amazing! One of the best waiters I have ever had in recent memory is Daniel. He was funny, made great suggestions and was prompt and courteous in his service. I ordered the Scallops Scampi which are Scallops with Asparagus risotto. The scallops were PERFECTLY cooked and seared which is no easy feat. The Risotto was creamy, rich and had the perfect consistency. The French onion soup was very flavorful and tasted like it was a rich homemade beef stock. It was a little on the salty side however, it was still amazing. My wife ordered Shrinp ala Roko, a dish that included shrimp covered with prosciutto and cheese. Everything was fresh and flavorful. For desert I ordered Crème Brulee. It was made perfectly as the top caramelized crust was paper thin and crisp. The custard was perfect in its consistency and was made with real vanilla beans. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Usually but definitely need reservations if they are not full already.
No, we are closed. Merry Christmas!
Yes, we have been open for inside and outside dining along with takeout since late May. We look forward to seeing you!
Hi, hope I'm not too late to answer this. Of course, masks are required to enter, although I don't remember if they check your temp. If you select to be seated at a booth, they will seat a 2-party on the same side to try and keep as much space as possible between booths. If it's a date, then that's perfect. Otherwise, I would ask when scheduling a reservation just to be sure of any other rules.
