I don't normally write reviews but I just felt it was needed. This is my first pregnancy and like many new mothers, I'm not all that well informed. There are 5 things I would like to point out! 1.) I would like to start off by saying how impressed I am with how clean the WIC office in Germantown is! 2.) The front desk is always so kind and polite. I love how they always ask me if I have any questions before I go to the back and before I leave the office. I was told by the lady in the front desk (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) that I was not going to be able to take the breastfeeding class. Then she asked me if I had any question about breastfeeding. I respond by telling her that I don't know anything about breast feeding. She told me to have a seat and that she was going to see if I could speak to the lactation consultant. 3.) There was no wait!!! The lactation consultant called me back right away and was absolutely helpful! Her name is Benita. I walked into her office knowing nothing about breastfeeding and came out extremely happy, well-informed and completely convinced that I only want to breastfeed my baby. 4.) Mrs. Benita took her time with me, she explained everything, showed me pictures, should me a method of how to breastfeed by using a baby model. Not only did she show me how breastfeed but she had me practice with the baby model. She gave me brochures and a breastfeeding booklet! 5.) She told me that she was always available to answer any questions I have before and after I have my baby! It's nice to know that there will be someone there for you to help you with any concerns or questions you may have! I am absolutely thankful and happy for meeting and having the time to speak to Mrs. Benita!
