If I could NO STAR!! Was on the phone went through all the prompts only to have it finally ring then someone hung up on me!! This is why people hate government workers no consideration no empathy nor sympathy. After applying and waiting through the national number finally had an appointment for 9/16 mind you when this journey started it was 8/1 then nothing could be done because another someone did not do their job with coding. Then told to wait until 10/3 to call if I did not hear anything of course I've heard nothing so I called today only to be hung up on rudeness seems to be the new thing. God help us all.

Love this place. Most of the people are great. The security guard apparently has a problem with people because he was giving me pretty much attitude from the time I walked in. Even with yes sir no sir so he might be burned down from his job and he's looking for problems you can tell. Maybe not a good person to have your staff is great though I love the woman who helped me

The online Card Request was easy, efficient and simple and saved a lot of time!

Not gonna lie I sat on hold for 30+ mins just to be told inaccurate information. *But* I showed up to the location anyway and I was in and out in 15 minutes. (For reference I was changing my last name, did not set up an appointment, had all the required docs already prepared)

I would like to understand the Medicare premiums for 2019. Can I come to the SS office in Frederick to speak to someone
No
Yes. You have to get a new social security card with your maiden name on it before you can even get a new drivers license with the name change.
photo id
I don't know , I haven't gotten in touch with them myself.
Contact Part D provider. More info can be found at cms.gov website.
Yes
I need an answer to this also!
It's easier to get this online honestly. It will get shipped to you in the mail and you dont have to wait in line for a hours and hours. Here's a link to the application for ya: https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/
No but bring your ID plus divorce decree or court document showing name change.
No. Walk in. Offices open M-F 9:00am - 4:00pm
Need apoineny
Go to their office for an appointment
Make an appointment online or be there early. We were there without appointment and had to wait a little bit
Fill out an application it is on the social security website and when you mail in the application include all your documents that require the name change
Yes its open
First you may need to contact with Health department or social security people
Nope! Went there yesterday and told no. Drop box is not in service you must mail it certified is best. Their phones are also not working and neither is their email.
Online
Hi Lynn, you need to call them and make an appointment then they can receive you in the office. Hope this helps
I'm not sure since I called one day to drop paperwork off at the office and they informed me that I couldn't make a appointment for that so I had to mail it in. I would contact the local SSA office to ask how to change your information. Hope this helps!
Me and my family need to apply for the card are they available? How can I schedule it?
It's appointment only right now, made online
Website
On the SSA Website. Very easy.
Yes
No. Can file online at www.Ssa. Gov. Takes @10 minutes.
Possibly, if born on or prior to January 1, 1954.
Scam call. Don’t call them back or give out any information.
Within one month. Don’t close out old account until you are sure money gets to new one.
Marriage license, divorce decree and his SSN.
Create a my Social Security account at www.ssa.gov and request replacement online if you have s MD drivers license. Can also request replacement Medicare card online
Check their website. Depending in your situation you might be able to order a replacement using their online system. It would save you a trip.
Call 1-800-772-1213.
No, you'll just wait a little longer if you stop in and check in
Yep. Total scam. Social security won't call you like that they send you a letter. Over half of all phone calls that will be made in the USA this year are spam or scams. Especially with SS dont believe anything unless you contact them on their website (which i suggest signing up for to protect yourself), at at the facility, or have received a formal written letter from the office here in town.
If you use Lyft, you can deduct all medical appointment transportation costs every year from your taxes. You save every ride documentation, but you can get back several hundred dollars with your tax return.
Yes you can make an appointment to discuss options.
Medicaid is processed through your State Local county assistance office. For Medicare she can apply at Social Security or online at Ssa.gov
Bring ID and Naturalization Documents to local office to update records. Congratulations!
I recommend that you first call the social security office to get an appointment.
Have relative call 1-800-772-1213 to make their change of address
Call 1-800-772-1213 for an appointment. Most claims can be filed online at Www.ssa.gov
Visit local office to discuss your issue. To become own payee you will be given a form for your own doctor to complete.
Call 1-800-772-1213 to report to SSA. Suggest you remove her personal information from your post.
Send him to local office with his ID and have him apply for new card. If he’s 18 or older and has a MD drivers license he can create his my Social Security account at SSA.gov and then request a replacement card online.
No such thing with SSA. Our definition of disability is a condition that is expected to last more than a year or result in death. Might be a benefit through your employer but you need to check with them.
If receiving benefits from us yes.
If you don’t have it by end of next week call 1-800-Medicare. Can also inquire about their Easy Pay option too.
