I first started working with Carol in January of 2019. I had not been able to take ADHD meds since 2015 and, not coincidentally, had not submitted any research articles since that time. I was falling behind at other aspects of my work as a professor and getting increasingly desperate about how to manage my ADHD without meds. Carol accepted and understood my situation and helped me come up with a plan of attack that culminated with a three prong approach: sleep hygiene, consistent exercise, and the use of focusmates.com. In addition, she has made other suggestions for me to continue try and improve, most notably meditation and the aggressive use of to-do list apps. Perhaps overarching all of this is the neurobiological underpinnings of ADHD that she has taught me: the notion that I have a dopamine "button" that I need to figure out ways to press in situations when I am not able to work and/or focus. I stopped seeing Carol in June of 2021 as I felt confident in my ability to execute on our plan. I am delighted to report that I have submitted two papers this semester with plans for 2 more, I am well prepared for my teaching, and have been praised by my colleagues and boss for my other work. Several colleagues have independently told me that I am "much more focused than before." I heartily recommend Carol. She has tremendous knowledge about ADHD and effective strategies for helping out with it.

I have been working with Dr. Carol for over a year and I cannot rave about her enough! The progress I have made in my own mental health has leaked into every relationship I have. She has been a huge reason for the success and flourishing of my first year of marriage as she has worked individually with both of us as well as together. She is top notch!

After being very excited and optimistic about working with Dr. Robbins for our son going into college, it was a crashing (and expensive) disappointment. Our son reported that she had no plan for his sessions and that he didn't know what he was supposed to do or say so he dropped them after a few sessions. Since the whole reason we engaged Dr. Robbins was to assist with ADD and help him understand how to approach college in the context of his disorder, we were expecting her to add guidance and provide structure. Didn't happen.

Dr. Robbins is the Annapolis (and surrounding areas) best resource for all things ADD- related. Hands down- the best person to contact whether your needs apply to a child or an adult, whether ADD or Ad/hd (commonly labeled today under the umbrella label of ADD). She is not only qualified personally but she will connect you to the resources you need. As the CHADD (Children and Adults with ADD) co-ordinator she leads monthly meetings in Severna Park.
