The Iron Gate was fantastic. An extremely attentive staff, quick and delicious food, and great cocktails. I’m not quite sure what it was, but we were gifted a chocolate pudding esq dish in two tiny shot glasses and it was OUTSTANDING. I would eat a whole bowl of it. I will definitely be returning!

Work clothes or a little dressy
There is a bar inside and the food is exceptional!
Take the Metro to DuPont Circle. Go to O Street exit, walk south on Connecticut Avenue, turn left at N Street, and walk two blocks.
Yes, there are gas fireplaces as well as standing heat lamps. It can still be a bit chilly, however.
