The CoE has changed my life, truly. It's almost difficult to find the right words to describe how incredible my 33 days here has been. I have been given the tools I need to be resilient and motivated moving forward with my family and career in the positive direction my life and the people in it deserves. I enjoyed the classes, staff, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, meals, and most importantly, the lifelong friendships I have created. Being here with my peers, firefighters and medics, has made all the difference in the world in defining our true purpose and meaning as we venture ahead. I am renewed and I am forever grateful. -Seattle Mike, aka Kingpin, Briggy, Cassio

This is a great facility for Fire and EMS personnel to come and get what they need for mental health (PTSD) or substance use. I experienced many different techniques while I was here. It has the firehouse feel to it but with people dealing with some of the same issues you may have. I would highly recommend this place.

All patients meet with our family therapist and their individual therapist to explore how their support system back home can be integrated into their recovery. During these outreach sessions, the client and the family therapist call the spouse, family member or support person to provide an update on the patient’s treatment, explore concerns and discuss the future. If a family member chooses to visit his/her loved one on campus, an in-person family therapy session may be scheduled, if clinically indicated.
