Petersburg Animal Control

Apparently there is no animal control in Petersburg Virginia. Submitted emails about long lofts and the constant Barking and howling by dogs left unattended in apartments and it's been 3 months and it's still going on. No follow up, zero communication. Leaving animals unattended for days and the neighbors have to suffer with the howling and Barking for hours on end is Inhumane for not just the humans but the animal as well. It's sad because even the lofts management can't control it.

I’ve complained about my four children not being able to play in a public park located on our street for 8 years due to dogs getting loose and biting children and they have not done anything to help. Don’t waste your time calling handle the situation yourself.

My daughter and I have a genuine love and heart for animals so when we seen that the Petersburg animal control were giving away animals she asked me to take her we got there we looked at the animals and our heart was touched by a few of them but it was one in particular name Buckner that was in special condition that they weren't adopting right away but the lady told me she felt we would make a beautiful home for him and that she was looking forward to us taking him long story short we came home we set up a spot for Buckner we got super excited they never called me to pick him up I called to see if I could pick him up the first time they told me no the vet didn't feel it was time to let him go. I waited a week I called back and this time the girl said she was brand new and didn't have any information no one ever called me back and when I tried to call back they had blocked my number not sure why I got treated this way I was just trying to have a good heart and an open home for an animal in need🥺
