My family and I wanted to try and go through this company to find a house to rent despite the long list of negative reviews, however the negative reviews were correct! Communication is out the window! Staff, specifically Nicole (I believe her name is) was rude. I was told that my “Closing Docs” were incomplete when in fact I have an email stating they were completed and I was charged $20 for completing the income verification. The program wouldn’t even let you pay if the closing docs were not completed. When trying to ask Ms. Nicole why did we get charged if the closing docs were not complete she kept talking in circles and cutting me off when I was speaking. I told her if we are both talking…. No one is listening. She just kept saying the closing docs were not complete because in actuality she didn’t know why I was charged for a “so called” not complete income verification. I tried to tell Nicole that I still have copies of the income verification and the emails stating that I COMPLETED the documents and that they were emailed to Affordable Rentals. Also, I emailed the manager the day after I submitted the income verification and I got no response. It is now September 1st. I called the office to receive unprofessional feedback. I just want people to be aware. I am irritated because we totally wasted time looking at all the places that were open to rent. We finally found a place that was not too ran down…didn’t have dead roaches on the floor… or neighbors with chickens… houses with nasty smells… lawns not up to par. I want my money back… even if it is $20. Affordable Rentals should be ashamed of using people… and leading them on just to get a dollar. I will be presenting my side of the story to the Better Business Bureau and to the necessary companies that help with cases like this. What you’re not going to do is use people… string them along and take their money. You’re company got the right one this time! Affordable Remtals…Please don’t tell me to email the manager unless they are giving me money back… they don’t answer emails either!

My daughter tried to rent from them she did not make enough money. I asked if I could be a cosigner they said she could reapply in 6 month. What kind of business do you run?

I suggest not living here unless you are extremely desperate! Roaches, rats, birds, bedbugs, no parking, unkempt grass etc. Even after a tenant moves they do not authorize heavy pest control as infestations are regarded as the tenants issue due to the lease. Only cheap bombs and sprays you can easily purchase at your nearest dollar store and don’t do very much at all! Maintaining the living space is way to much a hassle as you will have to keep up with said infestations and most likely you will lose most of your furniture due to them as well. The location and neighbors are decent however, the problem lies mostly with Affordable Rentals themselves and their lack of effective maintenance and communication. Reply: If you can’t find me than it may be because my lease has been up for a couple months and hasn’t been renewed. The supposed pest control you mentioned is not up to par meaning not effective as it doesn’t rid the space of said pests. Regardless if you find my name or not my complaint is valid and from other reviews it’s quite obvious where the problem lies, do better please.
