It's unfortunate that you have to go through reservations days ahead of time and only between the hours of Noon and 2pm. I won't ever waste the time again trying to visit like I did this trip through Albequerque.

Very cool! The chandelier is striking but I had a hard time getting a pic trying to look up with my vertigo! The building itself is gorgeous and complements the displays perfectly. Definitely something for everyone and definitely a lot! We were done after an hour and a half or so, but you could spend all day in there easily. We picked up some beautiful jewelry in the gift shop and a Nick the miner plush because it was too cute. :) Check it out if you're in Albuquerque, it's a real gem!

I have always loved turquoise but I never knew much about it. This museum is great.

A visit to the Turquoise Museum located in a castle-like building in Albuquerque is an enlightening experience. 💙 I learned about the global, international trade of turquoise through the centuries. And the various types of turquoise, mining techniques, etc. The museum collection is a fifth-generation family legacy. #TurquoiseMuseum

Hi Natasha, We do buy certain kinds or turquoise on occasion. It all depends on what you have to offer and how much you want to sell it for. We are currently still moving in to our new location, so I can't have you stop by. But give me a call and we can talk about it, 505-550-0127. Jacob Lowry Turquoise Museum Executive Director
