They don't stand by their products. I purchased a pool cleaner that I have spent weeks trying to get to work with no success. I hired somebody to come out and set the cleaner up for me and they were unsuccessful as well. I was told that the cleaner is broken. The track does not turn and the rotating scrubbers do not move. You can feel vacuum being sucked through the machine but all of the gears are seized up. I took the vacuum back to the store and they said they could not take a return. On the back of the receipt it says you have 30 days to return items unopened for a refund. I did open the box but the vacuum is broken. On the back of the receipt it also says if an item is defective you can return it within 30 days for an exchange of the same item. When I ask them to exchange it rather than return it as the item is defective. I was told that they could not exchange that item either. They told me if the vacuum doesn't work then there's something wrong with my pool. The guys seemed very helpful when they were making the sale, but as soon as I walked in the door with the pool cleaner, the associate at the counter looked at me wide-eyed and said one moment, he went back to the office and said there was a customer here who wanted to return an MX-8. As soon as I heard him specify what was being returned, I knew I was going to have an issue. There wasn't just a customer with a return. There was a customer returning an MX-8. The manager on duty told me that it wasn't my vacuum. It was the pool and if I bought a robotic vacuum which retail for over $1,000 that that should work in my pool. I couldn't believe what I was hearing after. Already bought the vacuum that they recommended to me. If you need chemicals, this is a convenient place to get them but don't buy equipment here because if the equipment doesn't work, you're just stuck with a hunk of plastic. After sharing with friends and family, I'm not the only person that is dissatisfied with the service I have received. So I am sure you will see other reviews pertaining to this issue forthcoming.

Pinch a Penny has been aweful and provides awful service. For the past 6 months our pool has been green and dirty. I’ve complained multiple times and the owner ignores my calls, hangs up on me, and fails to respond to my messages. I’ve had another pool company come to test my water and they said it appears that pinch a Penny is just dumping chemicals and the PH is extremely imbalanced. They said if we swam in our pool, our eyes and skin will burn. I’ve made many requests for the pool guys to come out and service our pool. I pay for vacuuming and they definitely don’t do it because there’s dirt, alage, and rocks building up in the bottom of our pool. See photos
