Even tho' my mother only was able to live at Anthem for a very short time, I am thankful and pleased with the experience she had until she passed away. We were very pleased with the care she received from everyone, the food and staff. All of the staff always treated my mother very well, even when she was a little confused and not so co-operative. I appreciate the staff and management of Anthem Lakes, especially Sheila, Paul and Scott. They are a first rate team and i will miss seeing them very much!

Anthem Lakes has changed drastically. My advice is do not work there. If you are not a friend or family of the executive director you will be treated with disrespect.CJ is very deceitful and sneaky. They have lost good employees and several residents have moved out because of her unscrupulous ways.I can only hope the owner takes notice before it is to late.As an employee you will be expected to tolerate a hostile work environment fueled by management.Occasionally, you may get a elementary school style treat bag of cheap candy as a thank you.Nurses and CNA’s are expected to work understaffed and unappreciated. I personally saw several instances of lack of concern for my safety as well as the residents. There is no excuse for the staff to resident ratio or lack of it.Something needs to changed.I see only one common denominator -CJ!! Wake up ANTHEM LAKES. .

Anthem Lakes is truly a greedy, scary place and you should NOT leave your loved ones in their care. This review comes from both my husband and me. They talk a good game. They promise anything to get you in, but they only care about money, not your relatives. Our Story is this... We had agreed to move my husband's mother into a $6k+ a month, all inclusive, memory care suite. She has advanced dementia/early to mod Alzheimer's. However, with Covid/other concerns that were uncovered on subsequent visits to the Anthem Lakes office, we told them we may change our minds. We had paid a $3,000 deposit and knew we'd lose that deposit if we happened to change our minds to pay for their trouble. We had no problem losing the deposit. In order to get her in, we had to jump through multiple hoops, a lot of which was mandated and not a problem. At the time everyone was super helpful and kind. While we worked on those requirements, we started receiving demand letters for payment for months prior, when she had not even planned or began to move in. We were concerned, OH S#!+, did we miss something in the contract where they'll charge you whether your loved one is there or not??? It was even more concerning, because we were considering not moving her in. They'd told us not to worry, but my husband went back to make sure...not once but once alone, once with me present and once with his uncle from out of town present. Again (each time, mind you) they reassured us that we would not be charged a penny unless she moved in and even when she did, rent would be pro-rated to her move-in date. We thanked them no less than (realistically) 10-15 times and asked a dozen different ways and still, we were told repeatedly we had nothing to worry about. In the end, we decided it would be best to keep his mom at home longer. But we kept communication even though the rules also changed without warning...1st no furniture could come...only pictures and clothing but then it was "when will you have here furniture delivered?"... Wait...what??? Last time we spoke, nothing was allowed to be brought in due to COVID restrictions...but ok. It wasn't until 3 months later, while checking my mom's acct that I discovered Anthem Lakes tried to withdraw $24,000 (maybe $36,000) from her acct and successfully withdrew $12,000. Had she had more in her acct, they would have taken more…for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! She never moved in!! NO laundry, NO meals, NO meds, NO haircuts, NO room & board, NO medical services, NO activities, NOTHING...literally NOTHING!! The deposit wasn't good enough to keep?? How so?? Someone who literally NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER STEPPED FOOT ONTO OR INTO thier property...let alone a room. To be VERY clear...my husband's Mom spent ZERO days, hours or mins at their facility. AND we were COMPLETELY happy for them to keep our $3,000 deposit for the trouble. In fact, it never came up. NOT ONCE. We made peace with losing it. BUT it was okay, to make sure we were doing the right thing for our family. But for them, NOPE!! They STOLE $12,000 from an old lady with Alzheimers and caused her bank acct to seriously overdraw. And we are still struggling with how to recover. Like many people, we are just average people trying to do the right thing but we don't just have $12,000 or $24,000 or $36,000 just lying around to throw away. She is ill!!! When you have a sick family member to care for, you need what $ you have to do so. What do you think they'll do to you?? Obviously they don't care for you or your family...its all about the $$. But even our own family physician advised to increase home care by a few hours per day, otherwise when she has a "BAD DAY" they'll heavily sedate her. She's mostly fine. She knows her home. Yes, she talks about the same thing every 2-3 mins but sometimes so do I!! She has gained 10 lbs (which belive me is wonderful) and has stopped some of the attention seeking behavior with increased care and is NOT kept in a state of sedation or "zombified" as one doctor referred it would be. I’ll keep you posted if anything changes. 😔😔100% honest

Memory care...but it does not have skilled nursing. It does have a lot of services to help a loved one age in place though.
