Very disappointed in the service today. My boyfriend dropped off his skates to get them done and was told by the person who normally does them that they could still be done by the next day, they weren’t done. Disappointing yeah, but he wasn’t working that weekend and they could have had a large work load, so it’s understandable. What upset me was the service at the front desk, the lady working today didn’t have the best customer service. She might have been having a bad day, but she was rude when we walked up to the wrong sign in sheet and then when we asked about his skates being done she had the attitude and tone of ‘of course their not done’ before she even asked for the name the skates were under. When he asked to just get them back and said ‘sure’ and walked away with an irritated tone. This is the first time my boyfriend or I have ever had an experience like this here. All other people working there at least had a friendly tone when you could tell by body language they weren’t having a good day. I honestly hate writing reviews, but wanted to share in case anyone else has had an experience like this. My boyfriends upset exit of carrying his goalie bag out the door was a little entertaining though.

They need a weekly (or any kind of) routine. I would like to go more often but they don't make it easy. Otherwise a fun place though. Their rentals are pretty easy, but the figure skates hurt. Get the hocky skates.

Tuft place to get to with all the road construction going on. Been awhile since we have been there. Went to watch our grand daughters learn how to play soccer. Very entertaining to see 2 to 4 year olds play. The edge is well maintained. Staff very helpful. Great place for soccer and skating along with other numerous activities for the young and old.

Consistently scheduled events would be a huge bonus. They go crazy and schedule 5 in one week, then they don't get a good turnout, and it goes the other way and they schedule none... Or the ever present 11am 'sorry people that work' time frame.

It's a hard time to donate. There is a "first skate" program for young kids. If its youth size, you got a chance. Call to get contact information for first skate.
I don't think there's a membership, but I'm pretty sure you can get skate passes to immediately go in, get your skates, and free skate!

The River's Edge specifically has two rooms available for Birthday Parties. There are several packages for either ice skating or turf parties. Outside of the River's Edge, Davenport Parks and Recreation has several areas that can be rented. Such as the Credit Island Lodge, Duck Creek Lodge, Red Hawk Golf Course Clubhouse or The Roosevelt Community Center. $12 per hour for freestyle if you are a member of FSCQC. Public skate is $5 for 2 hours.
Freestyle sessions are specific sessions for Figure Skaters of all ages to practice their skills or routines and take lessons from private instructors. To participate in Freestyle Sessions you must meet one of the following criteria. 1. Be actively taking lessons from a private instructor that is registered with the facility. 2. Be a member in good standing with a Figure Skating club. 3. Have completed Learn to Skate USA's Basic Skills level 6. If you are looking to bring family or friends skating you would want to attend a Public Skate Session. Schedules are available at www.cityoffavenportiowa.com/parks
During the peak season (fall/winter) it is $150 per hour, the off peak (spring/summer) it runs $40 and up. Depends on the type of event. You can contact Cole McLeod at 563-328-7275 to book or for more information.

5.50 plus skate rental 3.50 on Saturday. Not sure times of open skate.
