$30/ton is a great value, charging a $25 minimum to drop off one bulky item is absurd. Not a very intelligent way to deter people from discarding these items on rural roadsides. Be better, prevent illegal dumping, use the scale that I was asked to park on and charge by weight, like the landfill used to do.

I just saw someone say they got locked in the place and left a one star review. Couldn’t figure out how to reply cause I’m not the owner. The landfill hours are 7:02 am to 3:58 pm. You can look on here to see that. So I have no idea why you left a one star review for something that was your own fault

I've been traveling back and forth to this place getting rid of household stuff and one day in the middle of the week I arrived right before 4pm which is the closing time. Instead of arguing with me the clerk "Christine" (Chris) she informed me that you have to be unloaded by 4pm and arrive by 330pm to get in to the property. The next day she remembered who I was and gave me further information that was needed. If your reading this thank you so much for all your help and understanding Chris with a "C". With all due respect and appreciation Dee with the blue ford.

Waste Commission of Scott County's Electronic Demanufacturing Facility provides businesses cost-effective and environmentally sound disposal and recycling options for computers and other electronics, while at the same time ensuring data security. It is illegal for businesses to dispose of electronic waste or (e-waste) in their regular trash or dumpsters as these items contain toxins such as lead, mercury and cadmium and must be handled properly. Rates (per their website): Businesses are charged 20 cents per pound for TVs, monitors and laptops. All other e-waste is free of charge. Unusual items will be assessed on a per item basis. (Rates, subject to change.) Download a list of acceptable material. Homeowners can also use the facility to purge their e-waste properly and some towns in Scott County have grant programs so it's free. You should call to get the details. Their Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (special appointments can be made upon request.) Street Address: 1048 East 59th Street, Davenport, IA 52807

Yes, we do! They can also be set out on your bulky waste collection day (same as recycling day) if you live in Davenport or Bettendorf.
Willy is correct. We recycle old TVs of any size. No charge for residents of Scott and Rock Island Counties. Here's all the relevant info: http://www.wastecom.com/Content/Facilities/Electronic-Demanufacturing-Facility.aspx
Your best bet is to check our website as prices vary a bit depending on material type. http://www.wastecom.com/content/facilities/scott-area-landfill.aspx
