This HRA office, like every other one I have been to or have had to contact over the phone, have the worst employees of any business I've interacted with. If you go there to apply for benefits, be sure that you will be there for about 6 to 8 hours. Meanwhile, HRA employees will be sitting around doing nothing or just conversing with each other. If you speak up about, they're quick to call security to have you removed. They treat people like animals. And if you get mail from HRA telling you to call the telephone number they provide, forget it. HRA workers never pick up the telephone. If by chance someone does pick up the phone, they put you on hold and when you've been waiting on hold for hours, they just hang up the phone on you. Mayor Adam's needs to do something about revamping the entire HRA/DSS System.

Can I apply for a one shot deal
Yes
Yes
Go to 243 Schermerhorn Street it's downtown bklyn. You can get a new card there Juan Hernandez
Just go pick it up it's way faster. Just know if you go early the line be long that's the only bad part
Call the number on the back of your card to set your pin.
I think so but I'd go to the location by good will that's where you actually go. Enter on the opposite side of elm st
Yes
You said you have income??
Go to Access HRA (AHRA) and fill out a recert application and upload documents
Yes, they are open for in person
Yes but is is better to make requests online
It would normally come on your EBT card call the SNAP OFFICE
You have been accepted and may receive cash SNAP and Medicaid
Proof of address and a letter from your landlord... Identification. Birth certificate
Yes !
You can access your application on the hra website. I believe it's possible to make corrections there. But the app will not allow you to access or change anything.
I would love to have the answer to that but sadly I dont, I really dont know if you can do that or not, but right now the office is close until further notice, you will have to call and ask them.
Birth certificate, ssn card,
First request a Fair hearing then they can't stop your food stamps
No we only serve gang members
Regular snap, yes hra will ask you 4 a utility bill, lease or rent receipt, ss card, picture id birth certificate along with the kids, ss card, bc, school verification letters and their immunization cards (if under 18). Why don't you apply 4, PA instead of snap? PA allows you to have snap, cash and Medicaid. The cash is not alot but it's better than nothing. DSS also has a BTW program that you may be enrolled in. Go to the local HRA office and apply the response will come back from your local office. SN: if you apply for snap separate hra will ask you why your not working and unless your disabled you will be forced to participate in the btw program. Good luck!
Go to your Job center you belong to. They can reissue the check with justification.
Depends on your zip code. Try online first
You can apply for snap at hra access website.
With specific companies, one shot deal can be done once a year. They happen when the bill of the utility variety, exceeds a certain amount and you clearly dont have enough to pay it. This includes savings and credit cards. When you request it, you bring a bill in you are requesting the 1 shot deal for. They make a payment on your behalf to keep the utilities on. This is what a one shot deal is. Again. Some co.panies accept it, and as of 2010, I believe con ed still holds the person on the bill accountable to pay it back, as it is "borrowed" from the city. Once a year you can do the one shot deal, so pick a utility bill. . . Cable doesnt count. . .
Medical paperwork and anything stating he is living with you. It would need to state that he is unable to work due to specific conditions and he would have to be on disability or something along that line. Once you do so, you would need to reach the medical aspect of welfare/Medicaid, because if he cannot file for food stamps on his or her own, you have to have a power of attorney to file for them. It becomes a different game being thT your tending to him, so a landlord recognizing he or she is there will help, but that person needs to be on disability and file, unless they are unable to.
