This course has it all. Great use of a great piece of land. Very dense and buggy in the summer, but definitely the best winter course in the area.

A particularly lovely place enhanced by a disc golf course. I especially enjoy the holes along the water in the woods. Well designed and maintained; not too intimidating for beginners but leaves a lot of ways for top players to challenge themselves.

An awesome place for disc golf. I was surprised on the vast layout of the many holes offered at this course. I have played a few courses but not one quite like Bird's Ruins. A nice variety of grass plains, forests, hills, nearby wetlands, and a lake. There are various obstacles to maneuver such as trees and brush. It is worth the hour and a half drive for me to go there every time! There is a public restroom and a sheltered picnic area as well. A bird sanctuary with camping and disc golf. You can't go wrong. One of the highest rated disc golf courses in the midwest on the (U-Disc app). Bring mud boots in the late spring. The chains aren't up all year (late fall-early spring) so check with Glide in Madison for the latest news.

Beautiful course, recently remodeled to include 26 holes! The first 4 holes are in a beautiful meadow & you play over creeks, and the other holes take you up and down hills through a forest and prairie. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day in late fall, so no mosquitos, but they get bad in the summer in the wooded areas. And bring your mud shoes because there are a few holes & paths with pretty soggy land.

It is free but requested that people pay $3 per round. This is to help keep the course from "Pay to play". There is a donation box by hole 1 tee pad and near the parking lot close to the restroom.
Yes, the course is open year round.
We just put 18 baskets in friday. We are hoping to get the rest in the end of this week depending on weather.
As of yesterday afternoon the baskets were not set up.
Not as of yestetday.
