As I was training for a marathon I developed ankle pain that remained ongoing through the weeks after the race. I met the Mission Move staff at Big Peach run club and chose their practice because I knew they were runners as well. The physical therapy sessions were extremely helpful and the staff was very efficient on targeting the problem and finding a solution. I am very happy with the progress I made and will visit Mission Move for any future injury I may have!

I met with Joel to help me prepare for a 130 mile gravel bike race in middle Georgia. Joel set me up with an initial bike fitting and we worked together to create a mobility and strength program to set me up for success. With the help of the program, I was able to reach my goal and complete the race! Definitely appreciate all the help and effort from Joel in getting me across the finish line.

In August of 2020 while in my later 40's, I tore my ACL. I found Mission Move in my research for a PT. My surgery was a success but my knee was very tight and weak. As background, I've been an age group level endurance athlete that mainly competed in triathlons (sprint, olympic, half ironman). I was concerned about losing my ability to exercise as I had heard many horror stories about ACL tears. Joel and Jessica focused on building strength in my legs. While I wanted to be back to my previous shape, I struggled with any endurance exercises. I also put on 20 pounds which didn't help. Over the course of 15 months, they provided strength exercises and encouragement along with starting to push me on my endurance sports. I was completely surprised and disappointed that I could only run 2 miles at an 11:30 pace. They still encouraged me to keep pushing. Well in February of 2022, it finally came together and I could train without feeling weakness in my knee. I've lost the 20 points and brought my mile pace down to 8:00. The experience at Mission Move was so much better than previous PT experiences such as for my fractured elbow. Personal focus, attention to detail, encouragement when the progress doesn't move as fast are just a few of the areas where they excel. If you want to truly get back to an active lifestyle, I highly recommend Mission Move.

Do they take insurance and is it expensive as well?

Hi! We do not bill insurance for our patients but offer a few ways for the patient to bill their own insurance if they have coverage. Many patients do not bill their insurance because it is still cheaper to pay out of pocket if they have not met their deductible. With our practices model, our patients get better in far less visits, and since their time is very valuable, the patient finds our practice to be the best value for their money. Our patients reach their goals with expert care and personal attention.
