This was our first time dining at Boshamps and we will certainly be back again in the future. The wait was an hour long, but it went by so quickly. There are several bars along the back outer part of the restaurant for the adults and a huge sand play area, stocked with toys for the kids and chairs for people to sit. Our kids had a blast and we enjoyed drinks while we waited. Once seated at our table, our waitress was quick and efficient. Very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our table for our entire visit. We wanted souvenirs and the girl at the souvenir counter was a downright angel. We had such a wonderful experience and can't wait to return another time. They also have complimentary valet parking. We handed our valet ticket to our server when we were finished eating (the valet instructs you to do this) and by the time we had paid and gotten our souvenir, our car was waiting at the front for us. All in all a wonderful experience.

Came here on a Sunday night in which they also have live music. This place will be packed and the chance of you finding a parking spot are pretty slim, but they do offer valet parking. The wait will probably be a couple hours, but don't threat, there's a beach area in the back where the kids can play. They have indoor eating around the bar and outdoor seating on multiple levels. They start you off with traditional hush puppies, which are nothing special, in my opinion, no matter how good you make them. I ordered a side salad and it was just a heap of lettuce pretty much with some nuts on it for $13. Okay so they're 0 for 2... My meal was a 10 out of 10! I ordered The first thing on the menu, which is red snapper with a homemade pasta, both were amazing. My kids dishes also were better than average, there is a shrimp option for the kids that isn't listed on the menu for about $11. This place is not cheap, but if you come on a day where there's live music, you can watch a nice sunset and have some good fish. Also, I would say that my dish was better than Louisiana Lagniappe.

Love love love love love, say that word a thousand times, this is one of the Staples of Destin Florida. If you never had the opportunity go to boshamps, you're certainly missing out... Right now it's Wednesday October 5th, that means in 3 days from now it will be Saturday.... That means college football will be on.... That means outside at the bar at boshamps is going to be kicking it crazy style. Go by, order you some oysters, couple of beers, and watch your team win. It is an amazing experience, and every now and then, walk out to the edge, now we can overlook the ocean and watch the ships Roll by

According to the restaurant (12/29/2017), no reservations are taken. You have to be present to put your name on the list.
I dont believe it's on the menu but I bet they would make you one off menu! The chef's are amazing.
No, it's first come first serve. The food and service is excellent, you will not be disappointed. It's by far the best steak I have ever ate. 👍🏻
Yes, its shrimp with grits. But like Pamela said, their version...
Yes you can pull up with your boat...
First come, first serve. They have complimentary valet parking too.
They don't take reservations, it's usually a 2 hour wait.
What is required.
Yes
I dont think you need one. We went on a weekday for lunch and they had plenty of open seating. If you're going there for dinner you might want to call them about reservations.
No. They serve calamari but not octopus. https://boshamps.com/menus
I don't think they serve catfish but they do serve several others
Yes! Visit boshamps.com/music to see the line up!
They have several different oyster options. They are all good. Try the swordfish...best I've ever had and my Charleston SC has some of the best seafood so that's saying a lot.
During week if you're there by 5pm at latest, you stand good chance. Don't know about peak summer months, we're usually there beginning of May and end of September. I hate waiting, but this place is worth an hour; anything longer, I'm out! Fun place, good food.
It moved locations. It is now located on the harbor adjacent to the emerald grande in harbor walk village by the destin bridge.
Going early is better. They are really popular around dinner. We went between lunch and dinner, around 2:30, and not many folks there and we got a great table by the window with a beautiful view of water.
Definitely. Just posted our review. This was our choice driving an hour+ out of the way back home to Chicago from FL wanting to check out Destin. We were there in December, off-season and lunchtime was perfect as it wasn't very crowded. It's a very large multi-room, indoor/patio dining space with views of the harbor from just about everywhere including the huge bar area. It was the perfect choice for our fix of fresh seafood and we would definitely go back.
Continuum does not exist anymore
