Coolwater On the Pine...Camping & Cabins

The location was great and campgrounds clean with river access. My family has been camping at coolwater for around 40 years, and I'm disappointed to say, we may be looking for somewhere else to camp next summer. There were a number of groups partying through the night the weekend we stayed. The camp staff does not make sure things quiet down at night and are not available to address complaints either. Saturday night, there was no one around at the office or available by phone to report the issue to. When we let management know the next day, nothing was done and we were met with indifference from staff regarding the issue. I felt like I was trying to sleep at a very loud bar that did not have a closing time with a bunch of drunk people. We were awakened around 3am to someone walking through the camp banging pans together screaming "bear" - as a prank. I don't mind some parting, but this was excessive. We had an 8 year old with us who was also kept up through the night. This is not a family friendly campsite- at least it certainly wasn't last weekend : ( I won't be going back unless things change.

Reserved using an app. Friendly staff. Quick stair access to cool/cold river. Large campground with many facilities. Could use more bathrooms for so many patrons. Bike rider riding cross country. I appreciated the showers, but wish I could have regulated temperatures, instead of only hot. Owner gave me two delicious cold beers, which was very kind & much appreciated.

This place is a scam. They have their website set up to inaccurately put in your camping information so it gives you a false total and then they put a “disclaimer” that states if it’s incorrect it will be adjusted. My total was doubled from what it initially told me even though I entered all my information correctly, they “corrected” it a couple days later and said it was my fault even though I never changed anything or talked to anyone prior to them adjusting it. Their adjustment was 100% based off the information I accurately put in the first time. When I talked to someone about it he was extremely rude, yelled at me and said that is the way the system is set up and it happens to everyone that books online, which is why there is a “disclaimer”. If you call and book they don’t do it to you so therefore it isn’t a scam.
