So I get on the train at center and Main and I am writing it to Gilbert Road. The train operator thinks it’s a good idea to take a bathroom break at Mesa and main …Even though we’re only two stops away from the end of the line. Which is, by the way, where the majority of the people that are on the train at this point are going. It’s 6 o’clock in the morning. Most of us are going to work. Or school The train operator thinks it’s a good idea to take a bathroom break two stops away from the end of the line where there is also a bathroom that he can use. I say something to him about it “ why do you think it’s appropriate to take a restroom break here when we are less than four minutes away from the end of the line where you’re going to park this train for at least 10 minutes and have an opportunity to take a bathroom break?” He tells me to mind my own business and that if I don’t like it then I can buy a car Hold on a second. Is it his entire job revolving around the whole me needing public transportation thing? Why would he suggest that I no longer use the service when he is the one in the wrong? I pull my phone out to confirm at the train station at Gilbert and Main. No longer does he have such big words for me. Now it’s simply “have a nice day sir” It’s like they’re more scared of going viral than they are of you reporting them to their boss. Which says a lot about transparency and customer service within Valley metro This is not an isolated incident. Too many of the train operators do this and think it’s just fine. Our schedules be damned.
