This is a large campground. There are good and bad about this place. The host is friendly and accommodating. The pool is clean and huge. The bath house is dated but clean. There is no camp store so bring everything you need with you. It was a quiet visit I would go back to

Not bad for a spot I didn't even know was near. Decent cabin prices, AC works great. Only complaint is some of the amenities were closed at the moment.

Booked a one night stay through thousand trails on our way east. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but a good stop for a night's rest. Easy online booking, and easy check in and check out. Friendly staff will guide you to your spot. There is no upcharge for a pull through spot or for 50amp. Our spot didn't have sewer. Spots are well spaced apart. They don't care which way you pull in. Very quiet and very large park in the woods. Plenty to walk around and explore. Data and wifi signal is very spotty. The biggest problem is how run down the entire place is.

This could be a great place to camp, but the run down conditions of the amenities, camping sites, roads, and facilities can’t be ignored. The images and descriptions on the website are very deceiving and we wondered if we were at the right place when we arrived. The pond saves this place from a 1 star review, though. The pond is beautiful and has some decent spots to fish for bass. For the price that’s charged, I’d expect a MUCH better campground. If the owners just took the time to repair and update things around the place with the expensive fees they charge, this place would have the potential to be a fantastic weekend get away. I’d love to see that happen one day, but until that happens, this will be our last trip to Cherokee Landing.

We were signed up with thousand trails which makes it free for us for two weeks. Yes they have water and sewer but only at the 30 amp power outlets. Beautiful spot off the grid when it's not hot out...
