This is the first Bed & Breakfast that the owners interacted with guests beyond breakfast. The owners, Monica & Daniel, were such gracious host. Every need was accommodated with precision. The room was so cozy and certain met our needs during our weekend of planning. We were given some great recommendations for restaurants. Their vast knowledge of the community and history was captivating. Oh, did I mentioned our delicious breakfasts. I will return. Thank you to The Edwards for a job well done.

Having lived in Durham for 35 years how could I have missed this gem?? Was surprised with a weekend βawayβ with my husband for my 50th and I could not have had a better experience! Monica and Daniel provided us with top notch service, and I even got rose petals strewn on our bed, a birthday cake and balloons, bottle of champagne and to top it all off a couples massage right there in our room! Breakfasts are delicious and the company and conversation during was fabulous. The house is decorated beautifully and the yard is a great place for entertaining. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Magnolia Suite was perfect and my husband said it's the best sleep he's had in months. Daniel and Monica were very accommodating and the house is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

How I love Morehead Manor Bed and Breakfast. π₯° They were my first bed and breakfast experience, and have truly set the standard very high. The owners are present on site, and take excellent care of their guests. Monica, one of the owners, always inquires about dietary preferences. She makes beautiful, amazing, tasty, and individualized breakfasts for each guest. Vegan? No problem. Gluten free? Sheβs got something for you. Traditional? Prepare to be amazed! I consider her to be a Durham ambassador as she is very knowledgeable about all things Durham and so much more. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The common guest areas are tastefully decorated with a luxurious feel. Common guest areas include a sitting room, a dining room, and even a library! It is so nice to sit in the library and read with the fireplace going. The recently redesigned outdoors areas are delightful too. There are two large swings in the backyard garden, with plenty of green space in which to relax. The side yard boasts a patio with comfortable seats and even a bocce court. There are beautiful views from every angle in every season! Also, parking is available on the premises. I would highly recommend this place for your next trip to Durham. This is definitely where elegance, excitement, and hospitality meet.

Hey Annie, it's a great location. Walking distance to downtown and the American Tobacco complex. The innkeepers are cool.
Typically we only have minimum stays for holidays and special events such as homecomings and graduations.
We are a 15 minute ride from RDU. We do not offer a shuttle but guests have taken shuttles, taxis, Uber and Lyft to get here when they didn't rent a car.
We've walked the entire downtown area from the inn without issue and using different routes, including Durham bulls stadium, DPAC, and restaurants. DPAC is about .8 of mile, or 15-20 minutes walking. We've stayed here twice, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the property convenient.
Star, we currently don't accept pets. We do have 3 resident siamese that are here to comfort the cat lovers. They can be put away if guests have allergies or are not fond of them.
Yes, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance to the inn. Downtown and Historic Brightleaf Square are 10 minutes away. The American Tobacco campus is just a 5 minute walk away. Durham is a foodie town so you won't be disappointed.
Yes, and we currently have availability.
