To even give this hotel one star is over doing it. It was a horrible stay. As soon as we checked in we noticed that the bed sheets were ripped, stains on the furniture and the mattress, blood stains at that. They had NO shampoos, no conditioners, and not to mention NO hand soap. The basic necessity for hand hygiene they were “out of”. If a hotel is going to charge their guests $100 or more a night they should have at least given a heads up to what people will be walking into. The worst of all would be the bed bugs. As soon as we found one at 1am not even five hours after we checked in, my girlfriend and I had to pack our things and leave. We wrapped the bed bug in toilet paper and walked it down to lady at the desk. We were offered a full refund and were told to “have a nice night”. It was an absolute poor excuse of a hotel.

When I went to the front desk to ask for soap, shampoo, conditioner for our room because we had none, the general manager told me that soap was an amenity and they had none. No soap had been delivered for two weeks and he had only been general manager for 3 days and could not do anything about it. I must admit, I did not pursue my inquiry about the shampoo or conditioner. So I asked about bath towels—our room had two smallish threadbare towels. He told me all the towels in the hotel were the same. How did this hotel get a good, 3.5 star rating? Are all country inns like this? I would have liked a coffee/tea setup in the room like other motels, but understand that’s not necessary, but no soap or body wash?!!!

(+) The hotel room was clean. The hotel overall was decent. (-) The staff acted like we were an inconvenience. We were not given towels in our room, so when we requested them we were told we needed to bring our old towels down to exchange... We also requested shampoo because there was none in our room. We were told they were out of shampoo. At 9:45pm the front desk called first on the room phone and then on my cell phone to say there was a noise complaint for our room. I told her we had been sleeping (my husband has to be up early for a test). She said the person complaining stated we had been loud for a few nights (we had just checked in that day). Overall, staff was rude. The hotel was clean and we only stayed on night so it worked for what we needed.

Positive: The location was perfect - right off the freeway. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and adequate. Negative: They were remodeling, which would have been nice to know. The carpeting in the elevators and hallways was filthy, we had 2 threadbare towels and one thin washcloth, no ice bucket, one small bottle of shampoo, and 2 extremely small bars of soap.
