My husband and I lived here for about 15 months total from last February to this May. We initially loved the homey feel and larger space. However, those benefits would turn out not to be worth the headache that living here caused. There were many smaller complaints that drove us to leave a place we initially intended to stay for multiple years. However our biggest concerns are listed below: -Paying for 'smart home' and services added to make the apt look nicer but not functionally nicer. -Noise from maintenance or apartment entry with little notice and a large time range. This was a problem for us as I worked at night and tried to sleep during the day and my husband works remotely at home. This issue did not allow for life planning like sending me elsewhere to sleep for work (ex. jack hammering concrete out front with no notice at 8:00 AM) -Two episodes of septic flooding due to old pipes and lack of qualified upkeep. Maintenance does the best they can but have little labor and resources to ensure proper upkeep. In this situation, a plumber was not called until the second flood. We were out of town during the 1st flood and were not notified of the issue despite management having alarms for it. We lost hundreds of dollars in possessions and had to use our own supplies to clean the flooding areas. The second flood happened overnight while I worked 14hrs and I came home and stepped into it. I was told by the property manager that it had happened in her apt more than once as well. Septic flooding occurring so frequently and not being managed is completely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned and is a public health concern. After pulling up the carpet a couple days later and drying out the place we discovered cracks in the foundation. Nothing was done about that either. Cherry on top.
