Never have I ever met a doctor as unprofessional as Dr. Wood. I’m writing this review a year and a half after I visited her office. I thought of saying nothing but my memory of my visit with her still bothers me and I think other women should know about it. While performing my exam she asked me to hand her my fingers, and then she forcefully bent them backwards telling me that’s what my body was doing to her hand as she was examining me. She shamed me for not coming to the doctor sooner because I was experiencing debilitating pain, however when I called her office I had to wait months for an appointment. A year later, her office sent a “high priority letter” to my home, making me worry something was horribly wrong, and when I opened it, it was just a reminder to schedule an appointment. I suffer from PTSD and I believe there are many doctors more qualified to handle cases like mine than Dr. Wood. She was able to tell me a prior diagnosis may have been incorrect, and offered me information on a different problem, as well as prescribing me pain medication and referring me to a specialist— which is why I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 1. Still, I did not and do not ever plan on returning.
