I think I’m being nice giving two stars. As we walked in there was a dead roach on the floor, the fire alarm was missing at this location but at another location it was hanging off the wall, the door didn’t have a lock, animal fur on the floor from the last person visit and floor was very nasty, as if it has never been cleaned. My dogs ended up spilling some water on the floor and i used a towel to clean it up. Just look at the pictures. Also, after walking on the floor my feet were black. Nasty. This wasn’t the first red roof we stayed in, but it for sure was the last. The last one had similar issues and i caught my dogs eating something under a bed i moved the bed aside (which was very easy to move) we found candy, empty bottles, wrappers, trash… just nasty.

The bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! Best hotel I have stayed at in a while.. The front desk man was very friendly on helping us when we made a mistake with our booking through hotels.com. The room had nice coffee and cups, a nice desk, fresh linens,clean space, nice TV and I slept better than I slept in a long time. I am so pleased with this place and I intent to come back again. ☺ my husband and baby agreed as well. Thank you Red roof in at Walterboro,SC. I just had to leave a review because I was so pleased!! ..

I used a credit card that I rarely use when I stayed at this location. The morning after we checked out, I received a notice from that credit card saying that it was being used for multiple online gaming purchases that were not authorized by me. I can’t say for sure that the incident was related to this hotel stay, but it seems quite suspicious to me since it was the only time my card was used recently. In addition, the floor was gritty and dirty. My socks were filthy after walking around with no shoes. I will not be staying at this location again.

The pictures lie. Room wreaked of smoke and dog smell, was a non smoking room at that... Woke up with a headache from the bad odor/smell. Bed was worn out that you could feel the springs while sitting and sleeping on.. Some local guests lived there and were loud and activity going on in the late hours.. Do yourself better and stay at the Motel 6, better updated, cleaner and American owned ..
