Russ' is always on my list of places to stop when I come home. West Michigan (Holland) based chain sort of like a Big Boy but better with great homemade food. Some of the best battered onion rings anywhere. Great breakfast. Known for 1/3lb burgers, grilled sandwiches (Slim Gem, Reuben), entrees like fried chicken, perch, meatloaf or prime rib (once in a while) or hot turkey & beef "sandwiches" with mashed potatoes and gravy. Great soups plus pies and desserts. Disclaimer: I worked here as a cook in and after High School in the mid to late 90's and some of the people I worked with like cooks, managers & waitresses are still here if that says anything about how they are run. I still love coming here.

Most of the food was cold but was refunded for are pops which was $2.50 a piece. Which we told our waitress about it said,she could warm up are meal but come on we was hungry. Act like u are cooking for your family would your family want Cold food.

The foods mediocre, not great but not bad. The strawberry cake is delicious though, lots of strawberries and the biscuit was freshly made. I'd stop in just for the desert lol!

Food was ok but not exceptional and I'm not that fussy. Place was cleaning. Waitress was pleasant enough. If a friend wanted to go here I wouldn't reject but not likely to recommend the restaurant unless for desserts. They are very good.
