They are the worst insurance company. I have focal dystonia and need to get Botox. The first time they denied it and then my doctor appealed it. They allowed me to get it. I was supposed to get my second injection and they called me saying there was an issue . Tried to call them back and same with my doctor. They never called back or responded to the fax my doctor sent to them and now I might not be able to get my second injection. They suck. They denied my Botox and the doctor that reviewed it is a OBGYN a doctor that has nothing to do with my condition. Hands down the worst insurance company that I’ve ever had.

Teresa was kind enough to be very helpful and informative about my dental plan.

Bad customer service, they would just hang up on me

Ive purchased marketplace plans for my family for years. I just received an email (September)stating the price went up. This has never happened before. I called to find out why & received an automated message saying "there are difficulties, goodbye" and the call ended. Surely this is a fluke. I'll try again tomorrow.

My question exactly.
BCBS works with many providers (doctors) the best way to find out is to call members services. The phone number is also located on the back of your card. Follow the prompts to be guided to the correct personnel. You can also call your preferred clinic and ask then if they take BCBS, they'll likely want to know if it's PPO or HMO.
Unfortunately Neil not like this one. BCBS of TEXAS is just that special!! They don’t even have a policy on how to govern themselves! Really, you won’t ever find a company, in my opinion, that’s this messed up! 🤡

That means you pay 40% of whatever the negotiated amount turns out to be be. For example, you have an HSA with no copays until you meet your deductible of $500. You go to the doctor and it costs $100, the negotiated rate is only $50, so you pay 40% or $20 of the $50 and your insurance pays the difference, which is $30. Most plans are 80/20 or 70/30, I haven't seen a 60/40 before.

Call the number on the back of your insurance card.
Good luck finding out how to do it!
