Jesus and Beth amazing people. So helpful and compassionate.I can't wait to donate to this Latino Center and become a board member. Diana Avecedo indicated admitted to not being able to speak spanish and called the crisis center on me while in the beginning stages of Chronic PTSD. They also indicated that they would connect to help me get divorce from soon to be ex husband and have not heard from them since January 2022. As result I had to get a lawyer through my church.

I waiting on hold for almost Thirty minutes, finally spoke to someone who was rushing off the phone. Waiting 3weeks for a response. I answered all the questions and provided all the proof I was asked for. I still didn’t get confirmation if I qualified for assistance weeks later. I explained I had a deadline to pay the rent. During a pandemic if community organization receives funds to distribute families in need it should not be so difficult to receive the help once all necessary documentation has been provided. I asked for partial payment of my rent which was less than half of the amount I owed and still didn’t get the assistance. They continued to call me while I was at work to ask the same screening questions. The communication between myself and the staff member on the phone was vague and uncomfortable. I will never reach out to this place for help. It really saddens me to know that this is how the pandemic relieve funds are being handled.

Both my boys go here my oldest is now 6yrs old my youngest 6 months old and I absolutely love it great teachers the director is very involved the management team is great as well I never had any issues with trusting them to care for my boys as I do and if I did have any concerns it was handled in a timely manner plus I love how they teach the students Spanish. LACC is the place you are looking for if you need GREAT childcare they have many other services for the community as well please give them a call tell them Carmen sent you😁.
