I worked at CSL for about 8 months as the BOM before submitting my notice. I could no longer see corporate and management neglect the residents. They had no care for their livelihood or quality of life. They only care about saving face and making money. Nursing and the administrator would tell me not to notify families of a resident’s death before the quarter was over so that we could still bill for the month and still report them as a resident on the census for corporate. They would also make me hold off on notifying families of dead residents to vacate their room, so that we could still charge them for the room until they move every thing out. The administrator & nurse would hide in their office so that she wouldn’t have to talk to any family members. Workers are severely under staffed and so the residents do not get the best care. DO NOT MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!! They are only a check to these people. Please read all of the reviews because it’s true & they will do anything to save face.

My mother moved in June 26, 2022 on the memory care floor. She fell twice within the first week. Second fall no trip to the ER. She was communicative and happy until she moved in. She died on July 20, 2022. Staff communication was poor especially between shifts. She was in severe abdominal pain and sitting in agony at the dining table. She was not fitted for a wheelchair with my pleas to get her a chair and was kept in a transport chair with little support. She was able to walk with a walker with standby assistance, but it appeared that a wheelchair is what they preferred.

My experience working for Common Wealth has been wonderful! It's such a nice community. Staff is super nice and passionate about what they do for the residents here. The place is really beautiful and clean, and most importantly the residents look very happy! :)
