I called because I never received my voter registration card. The guy I talked to was way too urgent to get off the phone with me. From the moment I got on the line with him I tried to explain the situation and he cut me off a couple of times. He then told me that I don’t need my voting registration card to vote, although the sheet I’m looking at says just the opposite. He didn’t explain anything clearly and rushed to hang up. I was very displeased with his service and I still don’t know if I’ll receive my voters registration card.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with the staff of the County Clerk's Office Vital Records Division. As a wedding officiant handling marriage licenses I've dealt directly with this office on multiple occasions. Each time I was impressed by the different staff members' customer service skills. You can request information by mail or online. Just go through Lake County Vital Records. https://www.lakecountyil.gov/3964/Marriage-Records
Luckily, you can apply for your marriage license online through the Lake County Clerk's website. You will then be scheduled an appointment to pick up your license in person closer to your ceremony date. The current fee for a marriage license is $35. Hope this helps!
I believe you need to get the certificate at least 1 day prior. Clerks office is closed on Saturdays.
You can have your marriage performed at the court house by a judge. Lake County also has some of the most beautiful outdoor and indoor locations for elopement ceremonies as well as top notch wedding venues.
