I love this place really good childcare. Love the pools the family locker room and the women's over 18 locker room the showers are nice and I love that there are many locker to put your stuff in. I love the classes and the app is amazing. My teen, my little one and my husband also love it.I believe joining the YMCA was a really good decision. I definitely recommend this place

TONYA THE YMCA FRONT DESK EMPLOYEE IS VERY RUDE AND INPATIENT WHEN DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS

Lady on the pool very rude yelling at me because I go to the deep side she come to me very aggressive saying my daughter can’t go on the deep side without me. she wasn’t even crossing the line. Very bad experience. People need to learn how to talk to costumers and be more professional.

Yes! Our pools are open by reservation. You can visit www.rockriverymca.org/schedule to make reservations. You can filter options and look for the location/pool you want and if you want to lap swim or use it for recreation.
We do not have any hot tubs at our locations - just steam room and sauna at our downtown branch.
We don't include this information at present. I can talk with our team to see if we can identify certain hours. Generally, before work and after work are the busiest during the week.
We do have saunas at our SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA location only. There are separate saunas in the men's and women's locker rooms.
We have just launched Choose Your Own Rate Financial Assistance. Here is a link to some details. You just need to come in and have a chat with our membership team. www.rockriverymca.org/chooseyourrate
Bring your device, show your reservation and ask the guard to ask the non compliant swimmer(s) to leave.
August 13th! Here is the announcement we just sent in the member newsletter on the 2nd: We are reopening the steam rooms and saunas at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA on August 13th. To ensure the safety of our youngest members and the privacy of our adult members, we will prohibit people under the age of 18 from using the men's and women's locker rooms at this location. To accommodate our youth and family members, we have been expanding our For All locker room with additional private changing rooms.
They prefer that you you a credit card, I would call them just to make sure.
Yes, but it is currently closed due to COVID. We expect to announce soon the reopening of the sauna and steam room.
Reservations are not required for the cardio and strength areas. We are keeping reservations for the pool and group fitness classes. We do have some drop in lap lanes available as well.
Unfortunately, there is not a timeline for that yet. We are waiting for clearance from the local and state health officials.
No. Members have to make reservations...
Hi Kalvin! Thanks for thinking of the Y! You can start the process online or visit one of our branches. www.rockriverymca.org/onlinemembership Hope this helps!
We have virtual and in-person personal training - prices are the same and can be found on our website here: https://rockriverymca.org/Programs/Healthy-Living/Personal-Training/
Hi Janelle - yes, we provide personal training. Please give Gina, our healthy living director, a call at (815) 489-1261 and she can walk you through the options.
You can sign up anytime we are open. We are open 5a-8p Monday through Friday and 6a-2p on Saturday.
We will be launching our new group fitness schedule on July 13, which will include aqua fitness. Right now you can reserve one of our lap lanes (if you are an active member) and do water walking or your own water exercises. Just visit our website at www.rockriverymca.org/schedules.
We normally require members to cancel in person, but do make exceptions in these circumstances. Please call our branch at 815-489-1252 and ask to speak to Jenny Rogel, our Membership Director. Thanks and best wishes in your new home! We hope there is a Y there for you to enjoy!
Ok - I've done some digging. I'm not sure if my previous reply went through. Our downtown branch on Y Boulevard has an area called the Tween Scene for 7-12 year olds. It is open M-F from 4p-8p. We do activities and have homework time. We also serve snacks and dinner. It is not a formal program that he would check in to and it is free with a Y membership. He is free to roam the building and there is not programming from 8-10 pm. Our Kids' Time afterschool program only goes until 5:30pm. We don't really have a care program for the evenings - I know that is not ideal for your situation. There is also a list of childcare providers through the YWCA and they list their shifts they are open: http://www.excelerateillinois.com/provider-search/?zip=61107 I hope this helps.
They convert a basketball court to a volleyball court on certain days.
We apologize for the late reply on this question. As a user mentioned, there is a schedule on our website that you can filter by location and area within the Y. It can be found at this link: https://rockriverymca.org/Home/Schedules/ We hope this helps in the future.
Hi Claire - we have pools at our Northeast Family YMCA and our SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA. Our pricing is on our website at: https://rockriverymca.org/Membership/ We do have a special in January - if you commit to 12 months, then you get loyalty rates, which are posted on our site as well. There are other ways to save including income based rates, corporate rates or financial assistance. We would need to chat in person at our membership desk to determine if you qualify. Thanks!
Are you asking for children or adults? We do offer preschool dance classes for ages 3-5. We also have dance fitness classes for youth and adults. The programs page on our website (www.rockriverymca.org) outlines the preschool dance. The schedules page on our website will show different dance fitness times.
We do not have a specific membership for swimming only. We do have a great membership promotion starting Saturday. You can join on Saturday and December will only be $1. You will pay the day through the 12th. Our rates can be found here: https://rockriverymca.org/membership/
No, we do not have residential rooms for rent. If you mean meeting spaces, then we do have that.
