Highlands is a great course. Glen - you get what you pay for. This 3 star review is for one particular staff member. I wasn’t aware of the strict carts in at 7pm rule. This staff member caught me on 16 at 6:50 and she told me to bring my cart in after the hole. I called the clubhouse to ask if they could bring someone out to pick up my cart, as I had paid for 18, was unaware of this rule, and there was plenty of light left, so I wanted to finish. The gentleman in the clubhouse that answered the phone when I called said I could go ahead and finish with the cart, no big deal. The other staff member drove back up to my group, parked her cart in front of the tee and told us we were done playing. I tried to explain to her that I had been given permission to finish by someone in the clubhouse, and she chose to argue with me and harass our group. As I was explaining what I had been told by the gentleman in the clubhouse, she drove away while saying “enjoy your last time playing at Tenison”. I finished my round and brought my cart directly to the barn and said thank you to the gentleman that had given me permission to finish. As much as I enjoy playing the Highlands course, this will indeed be my last round at Tenison. I’ll continue to use their practice facility, as it is top notch, but I don’t want to encounter the employee in question again. I hope that management will relay the message that mutual respect is the bare minimum when it comes to how employees treat the guests on their course. My attempts to be polite and explain the situation were met with hostility, and that’s the last thing golfers are looking for when playing a game that most of us would consider our favorite way to decompress.

I played The Glen today, played it numerous times. I play mesquite course alot whose greens are fast. These are the opposite, I had a hard time adjusting and left most of my putts short. Overall nice course

Amanda was incredibly rude about returning the carts IMMEDIATELY at sun down when we literally were standing on the tee box of the last hole. I understand wanting to close up shop but we had one hole left and I’ve never been given such disrespect by an employee in my life. Management if you are reading this, please instruct Amanda on how to be respectful to your guests because it’s losing you customers.
