Gateway (Lake Villa) saved my life in more ways than one. I want to thank all the staff, especially Maria, Jeris, Kim, Troy, Kellen, Lindsay, Kirk, Theresa and Heather for being so amazing day in and day out. You don't have the easiest jobs, but you show up and go above and beyond to make a huge difference in people's lives every single day. I can't express how much it meant to me, and how much you've changed my life for the better. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you 💜. I'll never forget you guys. Also a huge shout out to the medical and kitchen staff, and Barb from insurance, you are Rockstars as well and VERY much appreciated. 🙏🏻 I look forward to participating in Alumni events in the future! Gateway will forever be a huge part of my life, and I'm so grateful to have this second chance.

Gateway was fabulous for my son and our family. He was exposed to alcohol inutero causing fetal alchohol spectrum disorder. This means his brain was damaged causing difficulty in controling impulses. They helped him at 16 with drugs and 19 with alcohol.

Please call our 24-Hour Helpline and a patient care advocate can help you with treatment options.
Sunday... I believe the group meeting starts at 1 and it is followed by an hour and a half of visitation in common areas. You are expected to be at the group meeting, very informative!
Yes, you can write letters and they will be delivered to the person in treatment. If the letter is received after a patient is discharged, the letter will be returned to sender.
I would check with monitoring county as you would have to let them know anyway
Medicare is accepted. Length of stay varies depending on what the client needs.
yes, they accept men & women. however, both are housed and have group activities seperatly.

Thank you Jenny. You seem knowledgeable so I have one more question. How do phone calls work? I've heard once a week is this true?
They have to contact you, or their counselor does. No other way.
