One of the best places I've visited. I took the kids to Sequoia national park, and saw this magical creek on the side of the road. We decided to stop by on our way back, and that was the best decision we made for that day! The kids had so much fund there, they didn't wanted to leave. The rocks 🪨 are used as slides, as so many people slide on them they got slide shape. The weather isn't too hot it's actually around the 68-70f. It's free parking free entrance to the creek. There's a bit of a walk from the parking to the creek. Not so accessible for handicap.

Love this place although the ppl can be a bit much which leaves you walking super far just to have a spot to enjoy.

Great place to take a nice slow walk with your dog! There’s lot of places to set up a day camp and go swimming in the river but it gets packed so be sure to be there early. Otherwise, the walk itself is nice and you can find great spots to have a quick picnic. Highly recommend to bring comfy clothes and if you bring a pet make sure you check the temperature of the sand since it can get too hot

This place has a river so as you get near the river banks, the grounds gets softer and slick. If area had recent rain, the ground mud can get ultra slick so you need to watch footing near Rivers edge. Beautiful place and great for kids who can swim. Rocks with a lot of routine water flow, even if dry and low water level, are very very slick. Hence the name slick rock. Lots of unstable rocks too so watch your footing.it is advised that Children should be supervised at all times. Current in river might be stronger than appears on the surface.
I agree with you
Cant camp here
I've not seen anyone 4wheeling there but you can behind cutler park
Even when there was a fee, it was just $5 per car for the day! Considering how few folks have learned how to (not be selfish slobs and) carry out the garbage they created while enjoying themselves there; that $5 is well spent. Otherwise, the place would look like a garbage dump, instead of a beautiful park. Please people, stop throwing your garbage all over a beautiful place that isn't even charging you the normal $5 day use fee!!! We who LIVE HERE thank you in advance for your effort to keep it nice for EVERYONE.
Yes, there is camping at horse creek campground which is half a mile west of slick rock.
I very much agree with you selvin I went on Wednesday and the filthy people left a pamper in the water I took it out 🤷 people grab the place that it becomes ugly
Slick Rock also has a restroom building, a boat launch, and you can swim and fish. Id recommend bringing a pop up for shade. As of last weekend, they were not charging the $5 fee for parking.
Yes! They are open every day now and have stop charging the $5 per car for the day. Considering how few folks have learned how to (not be selfish slobs and) carry out the garbage they created while enjoying themselves there; that $5 was well spent. Otherwise, the place would look like a garbage dump, instead of a beautiful park. But they are still doing daily clean up - towing 9+ LARGE GARBAGE BAGS OF LEFT BEHIND LITTER per day!!! Please people, stop throwing your garbage all over a beautiful place that isn't even charging you the normal $5 day use fee!!! We who LIVE HERE thank you in advance for your effort to keep it nice for EVERYONE.
Alot of people swim at slick rock and it has the most parking spots available. But there are no bbq grills right now because the water is high you would have to bring your own grill.
