Ken wasn’t very friendly. Wasn’t greeted upon arrival, or anything when leaving! could definitely tell he didn’t want to help me. very off putting. Will be going some place else.

Second day of showing up after published open hours with neon sign shining bright and showing open. If you aren’t going to open on time regularly update your hours and turn of your sign.

The worst customer experience I may have ever experienced. I wish honestly I could give zero stars. Let’s start off, 5 years ago, this place was the best in town. It could not be further from the truth now, do yourself a service and read the most recent reviews. Don’t let the 450 reviews from years ago give you a sense of what it is today. I walked in thinking this was the best place to bring my Allen Edmonds $350 oxfords. I drove 35 mins into town just to take them here. I had a small tear between the toe cap and the main part of the shoe. I explicitly said that I wanted them to take the seam apart and reattach it. No problem they said. And while I brought in my shoe, the guy tried to upsell me 5 different things (to clean them, to polish them) and then got disgusted when I just wanted the repair. Fast forward two weeks, I receive my shoe repaired with the HORRENDOUS photo above without any question on “hey, do you mind if this is the way we repair your shoe?” This completely ruins these shoes. No wear value, no resell value, these are now trash. I mistakenly paid beforehand, thinking they’d look great. $27. I was mortified when I opened them up, and said these had to be repaired. I think I was in such a state of shock that I didn’t ask for a refund. Fast forward another month. I walk in (after no text to say they are ready) and they look exactly the same. He said “well, the cobbler said this was the best they could do and this was the closest thread color”. I ask for a refund, at minimum you would think they could do this. He responds with “sorry man, I can’t do it. I don’t have the power, call corporate.” He proceeds to give me a number from Austin that is in fact NOT the owners number, and that re-routes back to their store locations. Great experience. Thanks for nothing and ruined shoes. Please please take your shoes somewhere else if you want a positive experience and actual shoes that you can feel proud to wear.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Cobblestone and will not be returning. In a rush I dropped off a pair of cowboy boots to be resoled and to have leather strips inserted into the heels where they had been wearing. I was quoted what I thought to be a remarkably high price (~$170). In haste I agreed, but after getting in the car and thinking about it I reconsidered and called the store about 20 minutes later to cancel the order. I was told that they had already been sent out, but not to worry, they would cancel the order and I could come back and pick them up next week. I called midway through the following week, but was told they still weren’t in. I was reassured that the order had been canceled and that I would receive a call when they arrived. I called back the next week, and the week after that, and was told the same thing by an increasingly frustrated sales person. Finally, at the start of the 4th week, I received an email that I could come pick them up. Turns out they didn’t in fact cancel the order like I had requested and been assured of multiple times. After having to argue with the sales person, he reluctantly agreed to give me a 25% discount on the original price. Still, it ended up being overpriced, and all in all, an incredibly frustrating experience. In terms of work product, it is ok. The leather sole is good, but it’s clear they used a low quality polish on the boots. They missed spots, particularly on the edges. I won’t be going back.

They are able to perform wonders and are also very honest about what they can and cannot do. Thus take your shoes, tell them what you need, and they will let you know if they can work on them or not.
