The tea is wonderful. The best loose leaf I have had. Learned so much in the tea 101 class. Amazing care taken to grow tea here in Northern Michigan, it's wonderful. This is a must see stop when visiting Traverse City for every tea lover. I am so happy to have found a new source of tea, grown right here in Michigan. Love the mission of Light of Day Organics.

I took the Tea 101 class with my mom and daughter. We had such a great time learning about and tasting the different tea preparations. Angela was so welcoming. Our favorite teas were the matcha, white tea, and creamy earl grey. We will definitely be back for a visit next time we are in the Traverse City area.

Had their tea at a resturant In traverse city, looked up the store to go purchase some and found them closed after site said they were open. Up to date hours would be appreciated.

Bottom line: Great teas! It is unfortunate that their tasting room is closed. Sign of the the times. Try the creamy earl grey, nothing quite like it.

For herbal integrity and maximal nutrition, all of our teas are in their most pristine, loose leaf whole form. We do have fillable teabags and a wide assortment of cup and teapot infers to make the steeping of our teas very convenient. If you prepare Light of Day products properly, they will cost at least half of what you are spending on lower grade supermarket teabags. Let us show you how!
Fridays & Saturdays year round FOR SURE, but then we also open up 6 days a week in the peak months of June-October.
The "Daily Grade" is from Australia, and so doesn't have the same brilliant jade green as our "Ceremonial Grade" Matcha. The matcha in our 40 gram "Matcha Memoirs" tins and all capsules ("Matcha and TuMatcha") is the higher ceremonial grade and both grades are 100% certified organic.
