No. Horseshoe Bend is North, up Highway 55. Lucky Peak is East, up Highway 21. Horseshoe Bend is a town, Lucky Peak is a state park.
Does anyone know what it's like at Lucky Peak during 4th of July weekend? We were planning on boating Sat morning of the 3rd in hopes to get a dock but I'm concerned they will all be taken by Fri night. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks!

Being so close, it is usually populated. However, the marina is very large and launch zones are quite adequate.
People can boat in Lucky Peak Reservoir year round, launch your boat at the Marina on Arrowrock Rd and Lucky Peak damn off HW 21, it's just low, very cold and not everywhere is accessible in the winter months. Stay safe and have fun!

Not really like on the sand but in the parking lot there is. Theres bathrooms there but indont think you'll be able to see the beach from the parking lot, i don't t know if you know where the other dam is, like the you take highway 21 towards Idaho city so like maybe 15 miles from lucky peak theres a big bridge as soon as you cross it you make a right (towards Atlanta) and theres a lot more beaches down that road im pretty sure theres a camp ground on the river you can park a trailer pretty much on the water.
Are they open on 4th of July ?
