Because Idaho lawmakers, attorneys, and Idaho legal experts saw this as a frivolous lawsuit. The US Supreme Court threw this Texas lawsuit out in 2020.

I would read the fine print, on what you signed for your insurance. However with that said, there are no laws (local, state, or federal) that I saw, that prevents a company from raising their rates. Normally, they will advise you in advance, that they plan to raise rates. Similar to renting a residence or storage unit. As for the greater number of claims, statistically speaking, the epidemic contributed to many deaths, hence the increase you speak of.
Yes. Bank has to make sure funds are available through clearing house. Usually after midnight the funds are cleared and available.
Typically, they tell you in a letter (or verbally if business was done vis-a-vis). Alternatively, you could just call them or go to the bank if you're worried about it. In my opinion though, if you waited a month already and posted your question now, the refund must not be that big nor important.

WE have only a landline, no other phone, did try and block through the carrier but was unsuccessful. Will try some other avenues.
