Fun for the whole family.

Currently doing the remodel so only the train is open. Which occasionally breaks down and you have to walk all the way back. Nevertheless the kids enjoy it.
Boo Baby (boobaby)
Very cute place with splash pad and train, and a snack bar!

Great family place, fishing, walking, playgrounds, splash pad- they have a TRAIN!! The kids love riding around the park seeing the sights! Nice variety of things to do. Tennis, softball this place has it all!!! Even has covered spaces to eat and grill! Love it!!

10 and under are free
Train costs 3 tickets, carousel 2 tickets, tickets are $1.50 each or 20 tickets for $24, or all day ride band for $9 per person. After this weekend the rides are closed for the summer
Yes, you can even run on the train tracks if you're feeling dangerous
Yes
Yes...so far I know its first come first serve basis
The splash pad is open from 9 to 7 May through August, 10 to 6 September through October, closed November through March, 10 to 6 in April.
Bass trout catfish croppie. I think it's done quarterly but don't quote me on that. I'll double check for ya tho
Yes the Ramadas around the lake have been open for a few weeks now
I'm not sure but I think they just have the tennis courts.
No you are not allowed unfortunately.
An urban fishing license and for bait normal bait. Worms, chicken liver, lures. They haven't stocked catfish in over a month too hot. So its probably fished out of catfish.
Yes. The grills are under the covered cabanas. You have to rent a cabana to use them.
No not yet
Never seen any type of water craft on this body of water & I have visited this park many times in the last 16 years
Unfortunately, there is not. However, my kids and I ride bikes and their longboards around the park. There's a nice path that surrounds the lake/pond (?) thats pretty fun and there's pretty nice scenery. But if you're looking to do a 360- back/front/side-flip-slide-kick-thingy then you'll be disappointed here lol 😉. Good luck!
They remodeled it... I liked it with the elephant and seal too...
No,there are signs posted all over no wadding or swimming.
It is a city park so contact Chandler Parks and Recreation. The Ramadas at the south end are reserve only, but of not reserved anything if first come first serve. Still check with Chandler Parks and Recreation.
The surface area of the lake is 4 acres and the average depth is 8 feet. The lake houses rainbow trout, largemouth bass, sunfish, catfish, tilapia, and carp. Make sure you have a valid fishing license!
Definitely not. Water wouldn't be safe anyway. Lots of algae and lots of waterfowl guarantee unhealthy microbes and parasites that would not be good for your dog.
Yes, but make sure to go during daytime hours and don't eat the fish you catch as they are stocked by the city of Lafayette and the water is not run through as a river or creek, but is held in as a pond meaning it is not clean or healthy enough for human consumption.
There are some sporadically throughout the park but they don't all work and are hard to find. Anticipate that there aren't any.
Yes BBQ, but not sure about the reserve
Usually 10 am to 6pm
Call chandler parks and rec
