Not a bad hike down, but as of March 2022 there's a few trees fallen across the trail that will require a bit of crawling or climbing across. Trail kinda just ends in a spot on the river that's not very scenic. Still a good workout, went on a Saturday morning and had the trail to myself.

Short hike through a new growth forest. First half is on a wide gravel road, second half is a steep decline that ends with a space-limited river access. The trail is wide and in a great condition, considering the slope. Lots of berry bushes and water streams (in the spring). The best feature is that this is only lightly trafficked, so a good escape from the beaten paths.

Fairly easy 6 mile out and back to the river. Little muddy on the switchbacks but not an issue. Beautiful stuff

Lovely hike. A bit strange because it is "backwards," with the elevation gain in the hike back.
