We really enjoyed Rico's. We called ahead and picked up two pizzas. The owner was very friendly and chatted while our last pizza was coming out of the oven. Evening was ready 20 minutes after we called. Some of the reviews here had me worried but both pizzas were absolutely delicious! Anytime we come back to the area we'll be coming back for sure!

We were pleasantly surprised by Ricos! Ordered takeout after a hike - the Caribbean pizza. And it was fantastic! Well made pizza, great crust, and excellent customer service on phone and in person when picking up. Definitely recommend if you are in the Index/Gold Bar area!

The Owner was very friendly. The decor leaves a lot to be desired - think dive bar, but the pizza was very well done. We prefer thin crust, crispy, with the ingredients warmed but not over-cooked and that's what was delivered. The crust was not as flavorful as when it's cooked in a more traditional oven where one can get wood flavored, but this is a place out in the middle of nowhere. Still, pizza making is a craft skill and this is a 7 on a 10 scale, but still, a good pizza, that everyone enjoyed.

Awesome and friendly place! Food is pretty damn good too 👌 I also want to note, the owner isn't cheap or lazy. This is a family run business and there is only ever 2 at most 3 people working in the store 90% of the time, it's a one person show and it gets busy. They're not lazy, they're beyond short staffed. They have only 1 delivery driver. Another note: the owner is not racist to my knowledge. And even if they were, liking their food doesn't make you also racist. It means you like pizza ;) Ricos really does their best to be the best. And yes you will expect to pay a decent price for a pizza because it is a family run place as I stated above. If you don't like NY style pizza, just say so! 🙂
