All of these search and rescue experts are volunteers and IMSARU (Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue Unit) lives totally on donations from you! (Hopefully you will donate before you're lost.)

Impressed with this national chapter of the mountain rescue association. Very sharp, friendly and well organized all volunteer group. They do amazing things all over the region with their humble budget. I worked closely with them for years as a flight nurse and finally had the time to recently join their ranks.

The meetings are open to the public. You can find the schedule on the website. If you decide after a meeting you would like to join you would do one of our trainings and pay a yearly fee.
