My situation was very dire...without the help I received...I don't think I'd be here right now. So I owe the people at Kingsway a great deal. They helped me overcome something that I couldn't do myself...it saved me.

I arrived at Kingsway right after thanksgiving with around 38 days sober for IOP. I came from a PHP program from up in north Jersey which was my first treatment program ever. I got on a plane and flew here from another state, I didn’t know anyone here, and I came with 1 suitcase and a carry on in October of 2021. To be honest, I really thought that I would just do 30 days, be done and go back home. However, after arriving there and being welcomed the way that I was by the amazing staff and the clients I ended up staying and completing my treatment and got my completion. I have a little over 10 months now. The therapist and staff were amazing at helping me grow in so many areas and they really had my best interest at heart. The groups that I attended were very beneficial and I learned a lot and gained so much knowledge in areas that I was lacking. I know that for me feeling alone was always a huge issue and when I got to kingsway I never felt like I was alone. I knew that if I needed help or needed to reach out that I could and that I had an army of people to help me. To me that meant the world. The staff was always putting their resources together to help me to the best of their abilities and for what was best for me. I built a life, a family, friends, and so much more with the help of everyone. I met by best friend here and she’s become family, I’ve gotten my car back, I’ve gotten a job, and I am now moving out of housing. I believe that anyone can do this if I can! I would recommend kingsway recovery to anyone whose struggling and needing help! Reach out. They’re a great team!

Holistic treatments are highly effective when treating diseases such as addiction and mental illness because they get to the root of the problem, not just assess a person’s symptoms. The philosophy surrounding holistic treatment methods is caring for the “whole” person. This means mind, body, and spirit. As the mind and body are connected, addiction and mental illness affect all aspects of one’s life, most importantly our health. For addiction and mental health specialists diagnosing and treating people with these often co-occurring conditions, holistic therapies have proven to be highly successful at doing so.
Yes we have multiple locations to smoke it is allowed
Inpatient treatment also known as residential treatment requires people to live at a treatment facility. These are people who have severe levels of addiction and mental illness and therefore, require around-the-clock care. Those who need outpatient treatment have addiction and/or mental health issues that are milder in comparison to those needing inpatient care. People in outpatient programs are not required to live at rehab, but still, attend treatment sessions while living at home with a more flexible schedule to go to places such as work and school.
Not all people who consume large amounts of alcohol in a short time (binge drinking) have an alcohol use disorder (AUD), commonly known as alcoholism. In other words, those who drink may not necessarily be addicted, but can develop dependency and then become addicted over time. An alcoholic is someone who is not able to control their drinking and will need professional help.
The addiction treatment process will depend on the type of addiction someone has, how severe it is, and a range of other risk factors. Treatment plans are customized for each person with strategic methods in mind to help them recover effectively, and most importantly long-term.
Medication-Assisted Treatment is a form of medical detox. The process completed before treatment rids the body of toxins produced by drugs and/or alcohol. A combination of FDA-approved anti-craving medications and addiction counseling is used to help prevent severe withdrawal symptoms after the detoxification process, and reduce cravings and relapse.

Treatment for opioid use disorders involves a combination of therapy and medications, such as methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex), and naltrexone (Vivitrol). These drugs are prescribed to reduce opioid dependency/addiction, reduce severe withdrawal symptoms, prevent overdose and relapse.
There are many risk factors of addiction, which can help prove why someone has an issue with drugs and/or alcohol. These factors vary from person to person based on their circumstances, and everyone’s needs are unique. Risk factors for addiction include physical, social, biological, and environmental factors. The severity of mental illness and family history are two of the most common reasons for the development of the disease.
