My girlfriend rented a cabin, it was roomy and the floorplan was good. All the appliances worked fine but everything was very dirty. We had to go to the market and get cleaning supplies and give it a good once over to make it sanitary. We did not clean the freezer it is still filthy dirty. There were some plates, glasses and utensils but no pans or skillet to cook with. The bed was very old and hard as a brick. The place is in a good location I wish they would provide a better experience.

Hotel was clean a little dated the room was a nice size mattress not so comfortable but over all felt safe would stay again

This is not the hotel, but a public q&a site. You may want to direct your question to the hotel. But our cabins were very clean. I know nothing about their pet policy, sorry.
I've never had a problem; my wife and I have been there 3x in the past year and have never had any problems with the owner or his wife. Then again we were also exemplary customers-- maybe your attitude had something to do with it. Just a guess.
The Jackson Lodge I know has no smoking rooms but there are chairs and ashtrays outside to use. There are no gambling areas. Its a motel with a pool, not a casino resort.
I tried there about a month ago and they were completely packed.
