It has been a devastating experience for me to learn of a comment my therapist, Kara Sharp made about "regretting the day she became a therapist." And then to respond in a laughing manner and to say, "ha ha so true" when a comment was made about that "there are somethings you cannot unhear." The negative effects this has caused me have lead me away from any further therapeutic relationships. It has also been damaging when Kara made a specific statement to me about "that not everyone who goes to Lenape is bat s..t crazy." The continuing isolation, lack of support and unconnected situation she has created for me is unbelievably difficult. As though the Pandemic has not been enough . It's true, Kara Sharp, Assistant Director of Outpatient Services.....there are somethings you cannot undo as well.

Allison Jenkins is the supervisor of my therapist & absolutely incompetent. She had ordered a psychiatric evaluation of me based on evidence that I was being harassed & stalked which she garnered from my YouTube channel. This isn't the first issue I've had with Lenape Valley March of this year they erroneously petitioned to 302 me which was found to be bogus by the attending psychiatrist of the facility they sent me to. Also while in their care they refused to give me heart medication I required until after my exgirlfriend went to my cardiologist's office & had the cardiologist call to inform them that I needed my prescribed heart medication. Furthermore, they injected me with tranquilizers against my will & against the recommendation of my cardiologist who was very clear that I was to have absolutely no psychiatric medications due to the health implications. This agency is abominable & should be investigated for waste, fraud, & abuse not to mention if anyone has perished at any of their facilities due to negligence.

Update, life is good 8.28.22 My experience with lenape was excellent. If you follow your counselors advice, be proactive and hold yourself accountable then life will get better. The 1 and 2 star reviews given by those who blame others for their failure are unfair. Work harder, get better, simple as that. Regardless of how hard the counselors work you are ultimately responsible for implementing the change that will improve your life. So, stop the whining and the bad reviews and get to work making your own life better.

I won't go anywhere else. There's a standard of care here that I've never found anywhere else for my mental health. Keep in mind: they're crazy busy and genuinely cannot bend over backwards for new admits. Once you're in, though, they're amazing.

Lenape Valley Foundation | Oct 6, 2018

Hi, Christi. During intake, we will review insurance information to confirm coverage for our services. The clinical assessment includes information gathering on current and past mental health symptomatology and treatment, drug and alcohol history, developmental history, trauma history, and any medical issues that may be impacting current functioning. This information will be used to identify a provisional diagnosis, treatment recommendations and an initial treatment plan.
